5-Star Review for Murder!

A blossoming serial killer begins her murderous career in her youth and continues to hone her skills right under the unsuspecting noses of her family and friends in the electrifying murder mystery novel, Murder (Black Shadow Series Book 1) by Linda Guyan. In 1979, a young man disappears without a trace from his home in a small California mountain community, and only two teenage girls are aware of his fate. Seventeen years later, the same two girls are at a costume party where the hostess and two of the guests are gruesomely slaughtered. Intrigued by the masked party homicides, Eve Collins, a novelist, comes to write a murder mystery based on the incident. When Eve discovers she has leased the house where the masquerade murders were committed, she is not too upset and hopes the setting will enhance her writing. Eve is unaware that she is the mirror image of the slain owner. How safe is she with the unbalanced and well-practiced serial killer living nearby? With an adept assassin playing cat and mouse with her, can Eve survive her two-week vacation? Murder (Black Shadow Series Book 1) by Linda Guyan is a chilling murder mystery novel that is nightmare inducing. The incongruity of a beautiful woman filled with a lust for blood and a friendly community stained by horrifying deaths gives the plot a nice twist. The complexity of the antagonist's character is well done; her insanity and thirst for blood is ghoulishly bone-chilling and stays with the reader long after they have put the book down. This is a thrilling murder mystery, filled with suspense and gore that keep the reader on the edge of their seat from start to finish. If you like reading stories from the killer's point of view, then you will love this one!
